The "arroz caldoso" (rice with stock of mullet and pumpkin), "cazuela de pescado al estilo pobre" (fish casserole of 'poor' style), the "arroz de boquerones con espinacas" (anchovy rice with spinach) and the "pebrot", are some of the local dishes. Sweet dishes include "coca rellena" (stuffed sponge), the "pastelitos de boniato" (sweet potato pastries) or the "bollo de San Blás" (the San Blas bun).

Benidorm's sporting offer fits the expectations of one of the principal tourist centres of Spain. Nautical sports include a sailing school or scuba diving with the motivation of dives to discover some of the most beautiful examples of Mediterranean flora and fauna. From its beaches it is possible to waterski, parascend and windsurf.
